About Us

We are the Vancouver Island Chapter of PMI (PMI-VI). PMI (Project Management Institute) is the leading, non-profit international organization dedicated to promoting professionalism in the practice of Project Management.

We are a non-profit, professional organization.

Our main goals are:

  • To support the professional development of our members, and,
  • To advance the discipline of Project Management on Vancouver Island, both in the workplace and community.

PMI-VI was founded in 1996 by a small group of 46 dedicated individuals and has grown at a steady rate to about 500 members currently.

Over 50% of our members are certified Project Management Professionals (PMPs). We are fortunate to have dedicated members who are very active in the local community and continue to contribute to our profession year after year.
