Mentorship Program Details

What is the Project Management Mentorship Program?

Project management mentorship is a volunteer-based engagement, that last for several months, between someone who has project management experience and knowledge and is willing to share it (the mentor), with someone that is interested in learning more about one, or more, aspects of project management (the protégé).

This program is sponsored by the PMI Vancouver Island Chapter and is available to anyone who is a PMI Vancouver Island Chapter member in good standing. There are no additional fees required to partake in the program.

How Mentorship Works

After application to the program, potential Mentors and/or Protégés will be Matched at a manditory Matching Workshop early in the New Year. The purpose of this workshop is to introduce all Mentors and Protégés with the intention of gaining feedback for matching. The results of this workshop will be used to rank and pair. Mentor/Protégé pairs will be notified shortly afterward and will start the Mentorship Process.

How the Timing of the Mentorship Program Works

The three main milestones of the the program are:

  • Orientation and matching session
  • Mentorship close-out
