Here are the details regarding the election process for the 2015/16 PMI-VI Board of Directors.

There will be 3 Director positions and 3 Executive positions open.

Under our bylaws, for Directors, nominations for positions are done by Director roles only and the President assigns the specific portfolios after the elections. However, we encourage everyone to identify the portfolio in which they are interested – please refer to the roles, responsibilities and qualifications details for each portfolio as listed below. After the election, we do our best to match the portfolios to the candidates preferences and qualifications.

Executive open positions:

  • Treasurer (1 year term commitment) – see position details.
  • Secretary (1 year term commitment) – see position details.
  • Vice President (President Elect) (3 year commitment – the Vice President position is for one year with a commitment to follow on to President and Past President for a total of a 3 year commitment) –  see position details

Director open positions – 2 Directors (2 year term each):

Nominations – What do I need to do?

Send nominations to the Chairman of the Nomination Committee at president@pmivi.org with a Subject line of Nominations for PMI-VI BOD 2015. In the body of the e-mail please specify the Position (Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary or Director), the name of the person being nominated (it can be yourself or somebody else), and the preferred specific portfolio (if desired).

You may copy and paste the following into the nomination e-mail:

I hereby nominate NAME_OF_NOMINEE for the position of Vice President / Treasurer / Director with an interest in the NAME_OF_PORTFOLIO portfolio.

Nomination Screening

A representative from the nominations committee will arrange a personal interview with the nominated candidates so that the nature of the commitment can be further clarified and personal suitability can be evaluated.

Biographies

Once your nomination has been accepted, you are expected to provide a biography and a picture that will be posted on our web site for members to review before voting.

The biographies of the candidates for the Board of Directors will be posted later and linked to from here.

2015 Schedule

Feb 23 Start nominations. Nominations accepted via e-mail.
Feb 23 – May 13 Nominee biographies accepted and posted on Chapter web site.
May 13 Nominations closed. Nominee biography submission due.
May 14 Start election (electronic voting)
May 23 End election (last voting day)
May 27 Annual General Meeting (AGM) – Announce Election Results
July 1 New term begins
