What is the Program?

The PMI-VI Mentorship Program is an opportunity for any/all PMI-VI Chapter members to connect with an incredible Mentor to develop their skills, learn, grow and collaborate on any PM related goals, challenges, and experiences!

Our Mentors are volunteers with Project Management experience and knowledge they are willing to share, from all industries and disciplines, and who are keen to help grow the profession through relationship-building, story-telling, and inspiration.

Our Protégés are those who are interested in learning more about the Project Management profession, are seeking advice/guidance for projects, and seeking to grow and enhance their career across various aspects of the profession.

This is a mutually beneficial learning opportunity, where Mentors can improve their coaching and leadership skills, while Protégés can learn from the professional experiences of seasoned project managers.

You can become a Mentor or Protégé at ANY age or stage! This program is fully sponsored by our Chapter.

How Does It Work?

We encourage members from all over Vancouver Island to apply each year. The process starts with a Call for Applications, followed by adjudication, an opportunity for Mentors and Protégés to meet each other

The current program is being delivered using a hybrid delivery format, allowing for both virtual and in-person ways to meet and communicate between mentors and protégés. The program generally runs from a period of 4-5 months, and includes an opportunity to meet with potential mentors and fellow protégés, as well as a wrap-up opportunity for all program participants.

The next call for applications to join the Mentorship Program will open in September 2025
